Breaker

Alan Swarts is the co-founder and CEO of Breaker, a Tokyo-based global brand studio. In addition to being a one-stop shop for global companies launching a business in Japan, Breaker also produces original content (from feature films to long-form series to social videos), branded content (from live-streamed events to advertorial videos), and social media promotions (from YouTube to Weibo). Breaker also has an influencer network with some of the biggest global personalities in Japan.

Previous to Breaker, Alan spent 17 years at MTV/Viacom in Tokyo and New York. He began as MTV Japan's VJ (video jockey), a job that taught him how to read from a teleprompter as well as how to put on makeup. He eventually became MTV Japan's VP in charge of content, producing projects such as the globally telecast Video Music Awards Japan.

Born in Japan to an American father and a Japanese mother, Alan was raised in Aurora, Colorado and graduated from Columbia University in New York.
